We met on a night out in a cheesy bar in our home town way back in 2000. We got married at Christmas in 2007 on the foggiest day in history (possibly) and now live in Berkshire with our two little people and two naughty cats.

My name's Kate. I'm a Mum, a wife and a photographer. A lover of runny cheese, cold wine, the seaside, Cath Kidston handbags and 70's singer-song writers. I'm a total home bird and an Instagram addict.

I still get butterflies in my tummy when telling people I'm a photographer, I can't quite believe my luck! I literally love this job. Every time I meet a new family or walk into a home with a tiny new baby, or meet a couple so crazy in love that even though they try they can't quite keep their hands off each other, it makes my tummy flip, because I know. I know how it feels to be that new Mum, new wife or proud parent and I know how much it means to have those moments captured in time. Because no matter how many years pass, when you look back at those pictures you won't think about the chocolate on her face or the dust on his trousers, or even that you'd like your bum to be a bit smaller, you'll remember the love, the warmth of the sun, the chill of the wind or the song that was playing, and that moment will be real again. I think my job is pretty amazing.

I'm Jon, the beardy half of Kate Gray Photography. I'm a little bit obsessed with music and like to play a bit too. Over the years I have played in several bands that have taken me around the country and even into Europe playing some great venues as well as every toilet out there ;-)  Nowadays I like nothing more than being at home with Kate and our two little people. It's mostly the simple things in life that make me happy; Sunday lunch with the family, winter walks, quiet evenings in, a proper pub, time spent with friends, the sound of my kids laughter.

I love taking pictures, good food, old Lambrettas, instant cameras, a decent pint, my record player, cooking and guitars. I like antique shops, family holidays in Cornwall (or anywhere by the sea) and barbeques. I hope that one day soon I will own a Type 2 VW Camper. I love a bit of DIY and teaching myself new skills, but most of all I'm head over heels in love with our little family.

I work as Kate's second shooter at weddings and also do a lot of work behind the scenes. I have a real passion for photography so working alongside my best mate to help capture special moments makes me feel so lucky.
